When it warms up, open up the full-length side and foot zip to use it as a quilt, or add ventilation by opening the zip slider in the footbox. The Trailhead has a synthetic fill which features a unique  WaveLoft™  construction which loops together thick layers of insulation to trap warm air.

To make it lighter and more compressible the shell is made from 30D DWR nylon while the 20D nylon lining is attached to the shell to prevent it getting tangled. There’s nothing more annoying than your zipper getting caught, which is why the oversized zip draft tube has an anti-snag, while the 5°C comfort rating and -1°C lower limit make it ideal for general camping use.
